On the last day of our trip to Moalboal, we stayed at Copenhagen East Residences, a condo-type hotel near Cebu International Airport. I was looking for a place near the airport where I could stay cleanly and affordably because my return flight was early in the morning.
There are a lot of budget hotels around Cebu Airport, but somehow their reputation is not so good… I think there are some travelers who are curious about the hotel, so please refer to it.
Location
Room
Double bed and flat screen TV. I was able to go out to the veranda from the side of door.
Cabinets and tables are available. It was a bit dim, but neat and tidy.
The room has a table, a refrigerator and a small kitchen.
We don’t have a gas stand, but we do have a range and a hot water heater. There were no tableware, but I called the front desk and they lent me a coffee cup.
It’s not new, but it’s a decent shower room. I think it’s good enough for a budget hotel. Hot water is no problem!
It also comes with a clean cabinet/desk. A few weeks of study abroad in English is not so bad.
Points of inconvenience
It was nice to have a 7-Eleven nearby, but there’s no little cafe or restaurant nearby. Take a taxi out somewhere for dinner. From here to Mactan in the evening, there was a lot of traffic!
Good points
They gave us a wake-up call to coincide with our flight time. It was early in the morning, but they called a taxi for us easily. It’s about 120 pesos from here to the airport. They say you can ask for a pick-up service at the hotel for 500 pesos!
We stayed here for a short time, but it was reasonably priced and convenient to Cebu City and Mactan. The location is indescribable, but I will consider this hotel again next time depending on the time of my flight!
