It’s already hot in the water! A happy 30 degrees on my dive computer! On this day, I went for a fun dive, focusing on the fish. Monkey Beach is a popular spot for fun divers as well as open water and beginner divers. It’s a beautiful dive site with a lot of fish and coral.
Diving Point: Monkey Beach Weather: A little wind Water temperature: 30°C Flow: A little bit of current. Visibility: 15m Maximum depth: 22m
Dive location Photos This fish is called Roland Damsel , which I uploaded the other day. It’s hard to get a good focus, but it’s a very beautiful fish. Be sure to look for it when you’re in Puerto Galera! What do you think it is, a Yanoki pygmy goby in japnese? This one also caught my eye because of the beautiful blue spots. This is a view of the wreck at Monkey Beach. A little before the photo, air is accumulating in the wreck. You can even go in quietly and show your face! There were three big fishes under the boat, a yellow ribbon sweetlips with three prominent lines and a yellow snappers , and some other fish. I’m sure you’ll want to take a picture of it when you find it! It’s called a caramel nudibranch in japan. We also got a good look at the pink anemonefish! I think it’s a Black barchromis. There seem to be few of them in Japan. Monkey Beach also has a lot of coral spread and pretty places! Is the blue fish inside a juvenile of the Namisu damselfish? The second half of the day we rode a gentle current to the east. A school of Barracuda passed by! It was not very clear, but there were a lot of black snappers and it was a very lively fun dive at the end! After dive, it was AB Wonder’s special hamburger on this day, too!
