What is a Habar Habar? It refers to motorcycle taxis, which can be found all over the Philippines. It is treated the same as a taxi.

There are many drivers who do not have an extra helmet. I’m used to riding a motorbike taxi in Asia to be safe! I recommend it for those who want to learn more.

It’s a popular mode of transportation in Puerto Galera, and the only way to travel at night is by Tricycle Habal Habal. I use this service when I want to get off at an individual place or when I want to wait for someone at a tourist destination. It’s a relief to reach out to the hotel or someone you know and ask them to take it!

This motorbike taxi waits for customers at Saban Beach, Puerto Galera Center (Muelle), White Beach, and all over Puerto Galera, Mindoro Island, of course. More often than not, a sink driver will call out to you.

How to take a Habal Habal

If you have a helmet, put it on tightly and catch the railing behind the seat for the ride.
The roads between Saban Beach and the center of Puerto Galera (Murie) are bad and often rickety, so be sure to hold on tight and get on.
The dog freaks out when it jumps out.

I often travel between Sabang Beach and the center of Puerto Galera (Muelle), but I don’t negotiate the price in advance, I just give them Php50 when I get off and it’s over.

Just get hit by a strange driver, get lied to, or tip me! I’ve been told that I’m not going to be able to do it. If they are too persistent, I sometimes give them too much because I don’t want them to chase me.
