Hello, my name is Misuzu Hata. This time, I’m here to tell you about a change in the entry tax to Puerto Galera: the EUF (environmental user fee) environmental user fee has changed from 50 pesos to 120 pesos, effective February, 2020.
When you enter the island, due in part to the influence of the coronavirus, you are divided into three lanes (foreign tourists, Filipinos, and residents of Puerto Galera) to check your physical condition and temperature. Please follow the directions as they are posted.
In the Philippines, there are many sudden changes without prior notice, such as the increase in the entry tax, so please contact your local resort if you have any concerns.
