Let’s take a jeepney through Puerto Galera!
What is a jeepney? It refers to the ridesharing jeeps that can be seen all over the Philippines.

*I want to travel cheaply from Saban Beach to the center of Puerto Galera!
This is the cheapest way to get around Puerto Galera. It’s not recommended to use it in Manila, but it’s a relatively safe ride in Puerto Galera.
The route in Puerto Galera is not as complicated as in Manila and is very simple. If you have been thinking, “I want to ride, but I don’t know the route, and I’m worried about pickpockets and thieves,” this is an easy challenge.

Flat rate: 20php
The departure time is about every 20 minutes. We often wait longer than that if the number of people on board is small. I recommend that you try it when you have time to spare.
The local people may get on and off on the way, but I think most of the travelers use it from the first to the last stop.

We stop at the corner of the elementary school and the main street in the center of Puerto Galera. “Sabang Sabang!” I’m sure you can find it if it’s stopped because it’s shouting

We climb in from the back of the jeepney and wait for it to depart. The fee is no problem to pay later.
When the fare for the stopover is handed around, give it to the driver. If you have change, give it to the person who has it.
I always get off at the end of the line and pass it on. They often give you change properly and I don’t feel like I’m being ripped off too much. However, it is advisable to have at least Php 100 on hand, as there is no change for high denomination bills like Php 500/1,000.
Once you get used to it, you can feel the Philippine way, and you can move around inexpensively. Center of Saban Puerto Galera, both of which last around 18:00. Please note that after that, we will be traveling by tricycle or motorcycle taxi!
