I still remember it. As a long-time resident of Puerto Galera, I’m here to tell you about this fascinating place!

Hi!My name is YAKITA TAKUYA, and I’m working as a diving instructor and photographer in Higashi-Izu.

When I was in my early 20s, I was like, “I’m going overseas!” Thanks to the momentum and various favors, I was staying here in Mindoro Island Puerto Galera.

I’m pleased to be a guest writer for PuertoGallera.com and I’ll be helping to spread the word about the charms of this land.

I struggled. Well, I struggled. As I reflect on such a life, I would like to tell you about this land full of charm. I will write about the scenery I saw, the things I felt, the things I ate, the things I laughed at, and the things I thought were funny in serial form.

I’m sure the posts will be sporadic, but I hope you’ll be excited to visit Puerto Galera in the future. It’s the kind of place where people who have visited will want to go again.

The photo that comes to the top is from the house reef in front of ABwonderDive on Saban Beach. We dove slowly and leisurely on this house reef and loved the view when we looked up from the water.

And one more picture to say hello. Here’s a picture of the Port of Muelle.

The boats from Batangas are divided into one to Sabang, one to Muelle and one to White Beach. If you come to the Orient Pearl Resort, where I have been very indebted to you, you will surely see the view of this port, Muelle. I’d like to tell you more about my arrival and my memories of the area in the future.
